I asked Miku to make something special and sweet and he did. He did perfectly and i liked it.

Long time ago i made this cookies just for fun, autumn has come and so cooold, made me be snacky. Miku didn’t have so much money because we should save some money to prepare travelling to Indonesia.

For me American style pancake more fancy than Swedish pancake. IMHO Swedish pancake more like Indonesian thin omelet. And as usual Swedish people eat them as appetizer, before the eat peasoup *correct me if i’m wrong*.
American Pancake usually eat with maple syrup and summer berries, would be so good.

When there’s no much to do and ignored by Miku, i just make some snacks and do my research. In this time i’m curious about cake that i bought in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. It called ‘Madam Pai’, it was so yummy and make me always miss it. I remember my friend bought it for me as snack when i travelled to Bandung, West Java, Indonesia by train. Actually this egg tart could be filled with any various sweet stuff, like raisin, choco chips, or cheese. But here i’ll try with simple one. Plain !
Can you imagine how’s the italian food mix with indonesian taste ? But it works ! At least in my tongue

The ingredients that i used are :
- Potato, 5 pcs
- Shrimp without shell, 200gr
- Tapioca Flour, 25gr
- Egg, 1 pcs
- Salt and pepper for taste
You can measure how much ingredients you need actually, because i didn’t measure it anyway. I know that everyone has different tastes, specially for food.
Then bake potatoes until about 70 procent cooked, make some holes with fork in it, put aside. Mix shrimp, tapioca flour, egg, salt and pepper in the food processor. Make sure it mix properly like a paste. Take 1 – 2 spoon mixed shrimp and put on the potatoes. Repeat it until upside potatoes covered by mixed shrimp.
Bake again about 25 minutes.
Serve with grated cheese or hot chilli sauce.
Honestly, this is my first trial but then my husband like it anyway. So, don’t you want to try it yourself ?
Ingredients that you need :
- Grain Corn, 250 gr, already boiled, drained.
- Mozarella cheese, grated 25 gr.
- Chilli, this is additional, i used fresh red chilli, 3-4 pieces, but you can change it with chilli flakes.
- Garlic, 2 cloves, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper , some pinches
- Heat your pan in the medium temperature, put some oil in it, not too much, about 2 – 3 tablespoons vegetable oil.
- Add garlics to the pan until it smells good.
- Add boiled corn, stir it, add salt and pepper then chilli.
- Mix it together until corn get the finely colour. Remove from the heat
- Serve it warm with grated cheese on top.
Yesterday was my hubby’s birthday. We don’t have so much money for spend to celebrate his birthday, so i try to make something special for him.
– 250 gram minced beef
– 35 gram tapioca flour
– 75 gram crushed ice cube
– 2 white eggs
– 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
– 2 tablespoons of fried garlic
– 2 tablespoons fried shallot
– salt and pepper to taste
Mix all of the ingredients in the food processor until it’s sticky, make sure all mixed and nothing clots, then put inte fridge about 45 minutes. Then make round ball from the meat mixed with two spoon and drop it in boiled water. Repeat it until all done. When the meatball is floating then it’s done. Let it cool for a while and prepare the marinate.
Marinate sauce :
- 1 decilitre vegetable oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
Mix it all together.
When meatball cool enough then soak them in marinate sauce for about 1 hour. More longer marinate them it will absorb more sauce.
Grilled meatball and greased them sometimes while grilling. Serve it with fresh chopped shallot or grilled shallot and boiled potato.
